Prosecutors in Louisiana’s 16 District are attempting to remove an African American judge over bias concerns.

Last month DA Bo Duhe began requested that Judge Lori Landry an elected official recuse herself from criminal cases, saying that she cannot be fair or impartial.  Landry has been outspoken about issues including racial profiling, police brutality and sentencing disparities in local cases.
